Here, read this post to catch you up: Back to School

It'll give you the nutshell version needed to understand this next part.  We will continue in factual form:

"the registrar finally told me what I had to do.  1. Call my professors and have them change my grades from E to UW (Unofficial Withdrawl) 2. Petition for Academic Policy to change them to W.  3. Petition to get a refund on the tuition. Then I can sign up for classes."

FACT: My professors were out of town.
I'm sure the CS department hates me.  I've been on the phone with them almost every day for the 1st week in August.    I had to call my professors to get them to change my grades from E to UW.  Kind of hard when one of your professors is an adjunct and the other was in Pennsylvania.   After they grew tired of me calling, they made an appointment with the Department head, and I got my grades changed that way.

FACT: I submitted my petitions back at the beginning of the 2nd week of August.
I prayed and prayed etc.  I called the Registrar a week later, attempting to find out the status of it, and they said "We're waiting on attendance information from the professors." WHAT THE HECK? THEY ARE OUT OF TOWN...  I exclaimed as much.  You can't get ahold of them, *I* couldn't get ahold of them.  "Well, if you can do anything to facilitate it, that would be great"  

After contacting the CS department again, a high priority email was sent out to the teachers, and 5 days later, the paperwork was submitted.

FACT: The paper work was submitted to the registrar AT LEAST as early as last Wednesday, the day classes started.
I called, they said its been submitted, check back tomorrow.  I checked every day.  HONESTLY, I'M SICK AND TIRED OF SEEING THIS MESSAGE:

I called today.  Its still sitting in the Registrar's office.  W.T.F.  Its 5 days later.. and who knows how long it was sitting there before I called Wednesday.  Yes.  I'm PISSED.  Here's why.

MASSIVE PROBLEM:  UVU switched to Waitlist instead of addcards.
The point is to stop students from camping out on the teacher's doorstep to get in a class.  When the class gets full, you get on a wait list.  Last wednesday, I was so excited to get an add card, cause I could get the teacher to sign it, and then whenever my petitions go through, then I can get in the class, easy peazy.
I am now, if my petitions go through TODAY, which is highly unlikely, would be the 3rd person in line, which I would have been IN the class months ago, if UVU hadn't screwed up.

MASSIVE PROBLEM:  I kind of refuse to pay for supplies for a class that I'm not even sure I'll get in.  For the UNIX LINUX class, this includes an expensive iClicker thing, an External harddrive, and an expensive Linux Server Administration text book.    Also included with supplies is my textbook for my other class, parking permit so I can park on campus, and somewhere down the line, when they allow it, Tuition.

EVEN MORE MASSIVE PROBLEM CONTINGENT ON PREVIOUS MASSIVE PROBLEM: Requirements for homework and continuing in unix linux class, is based on the supplies in previous Massive Problem. Which, since I'm not spending $300 for a class I don't know if i'm going to be in, effectively puts me behind massively.


OTHER MASSIVE ISSUE: Financial Aid doesn't go through till there is a confirmation about classes.  I have no idea when the Financial aid deadline is, and when the petitions go through.   And I may not be able to pay for everything I need to, which effectively kills all ability to take classes.


Other side notes: Doug, (my old manager from symantec, whom I love) and Joel, (My older brother from Symantec whom I also love) are in my UNIX LINUX class, which will be AWESOME... IF I CAN GET IN THE FREAKING CLASS!!!!!!!!!
