[The Missing Link]

First off, if you're not caught up on what's going on, read here and here.

So, yesterday Weston and I went car shopping, and I received a call from Danielle who was demanding to know what was going on.  I called her back, and explained my side of the story.  Yeah, apparently according to Danielle, Lily was under the impression that everything was good and she had signed the contract..etc.   And I was like.. "yeah, to bad we don't have that..."

She responded back with a "she left it here."

".............
 .............
 .............

what?"

"Yeah, a copy of her contract with her signature on it was left here."
"Are you serious?"
"Yup.  You're name's on it too."
"MY name?"

We rush to old mill. Sure enough there is a contract here with Lily's signature on it.  In fact, its my old contract with her signatures under mine.

On the bottom? Her rental application.   On the top? The Contract Transfer Agreement... which, its actually a GOOD thing I didn't sign it, cause it would have made everything they're doing legal.

Let me rephrase what it says in the BYU Contract, directly from the contract itself.

If the student or Landlord finds a suitable substitute student who executes a new rental Agreement with the landlord, the student may terminate without penalty or further contractual obligation.

Ok  The Contract transfer agreement says: The current tenant transfers a portion of the lease by assignment to the new tenant.  However the current tenant will remain obligated to the landlord as provided by Utah law along with the new tenant to this rental agreement.

Meaning, if I had signed this, then they had my permission to throw it back onto me.  Right now I'm still abiding by the original contract.  (Grasping for straws? maybe... )

So, for all you who asked if I had her original contract, I do. :)
