[Missed the Bullet]
Well, my view on life has changed from... "Why did you go? to "I Can't Believe I Almost Did that?"
I was talking to a friend, who said
"I asked [my boyfriend] what he would do if his wife were in a car accident that left her mentally capable but physically disabled. "
"And his immediate answer was, I would do everything to take care of her."
And me, thinking, this would be fun to try, Asked Chris the same question:
[3:17:30 PM] Laura Wilkinson: Question for you
[3:17:37 PM] Chris Buttars: hi
[3:17:38 PM] Chris Buttars: k
[3:18:09 PM] Laura Wilkinson: what would you do, if your wife were in a car accident that left her mentally capable but physically disabled.
[3:18:32 PM] Chris Buttars: give her a hug
[3:18:42 PM] Chris Buttars: and maybe a sandwich
[3:18:54 PM] Chris Buttars: i'd be hungry after something like that and i'd need a hug
[3:19:05 PM] Laura Wilkinson: lol
[3:20:24 PM] Chris Buttars: well, obviously i'd have to learn how to help her
[3:20:29 PM] Laura Wilkinson: :D
[3:20:30 PM] Laura Wilkinson: you passed
[3:23:28 PM] Chris Buttars: I would do all i could to help her still live a healthy lifestyle so she could enjoy what she's still able to do
Cute huh?
Now the reason? Apparently my Ex-Boyfriend, whom once upon a time I decided I wanted to marry, was asked this question by the person whom I talked to:
"I asked him what he would do if his wife were in a car accident that left her mentally capable but physically disabled.
Without hesitation, his answer was to put her in a home.
What stunned me was that he didn't even pause.
The answer was immediate.
No sympathy, no, gee, well, maybe that would be hard."
Every other person I have asked, (my manager and a couple coworkers, said without hesitation they would take care of their wife.)
If I had married him, then got into an accident... what would have happened to me????
I know now though, I'll probably get a sandwich. And a hug.
"Don't listen to my ex's....." he says.... We're all saying the same thing.

I find that with my exes too. They said "don't listen to my exes" and now that i've talked to them, I realize we're all saying the same things.
There's a difference between "don't listen to my ex's, I'm trying to change and grow, and what they said happened won't ever happen again" not, "don't listen to my ex's because they'll tell you things about me i don't want you to know cause you'll leave me" and a completely big difference with "Don't listen to all 6 of my exs who all say exactly the same thing"
If I ever hear that again, I'm going to ask why.... lol
Do you plan on getting into an accident and becoming disabled??
Knowing me and my car... probably.
^_^
Chris Buttars makes me want to barf - no offense to Chris. I'm sure he's a nice guy.
:D He does that some times. However, its probably a guy thing. Every girl who has read this or heard the story thought it was funny... or cute.. I myself snorted my Mt. Dew when his responses came through due to the unexpected nature of his response.... which works for me....
Luckily, I'm dating him and not you :D
