Ohhhhhhhhhh Drama. And for once I'm not the start, nor am I involved! This drama encircles the circle of friends that belong to Danny Gray and Christopher Buttars.... but that's not anything that I can post here... if you want to know you can ask.. its actually kind of funny, and not really a secret...
This Weekend: Beware. this is a long story. But there is a point.
I woke up at 7. And got ready to go to the temple. I cleaned my car out, and dressed up, then took a nap for 30 minutes, left for stephs, and got there 2 minutes before 8. I called her, in an attempt to not wake the rest of the family, and she let me in. I read a book, while waiting for Jillian and Kristen. Jillian came, and knocked on the door. Which made Brownie bark.... which is what i sidestepped when I called her, rather than knocked ;). So we went to get Kristen, and went to get Alex. He took FOREVER to come out of his apartment. Jillian, Steph and Kristen were in the back.
I sat in the front. And I watched them be girls in the back.... lol It was entertaining.
Anyway... Alex finally came out, and we drove to the temple, got lost for a bit, and then had to pull up the GPS on my phone to find it. We get there, and find the temple gates closed.... We look at each other for a second and I suggest that we go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple.
We found it... thank goodness for iPhones.
Geez, I wish more people brought cameras, or knew how to... I like pictures of myself... anyway, photography will come up in the 'main point' of the post.
Continuing on.
We did baptisms... actually.. ok. Couple funny points. On the way there, there was a good quote:
* Listening to Viva la Vida in the car*
Kristen: I wish there was a epic music video for this...
Alex: There was.... I DIED.
and, then in the temple, they gave Steph a jumpsuit that was way too large, and she pulled the elastic section down around her butt, and it just.. oh.. it was hilarious.. we all died... it was a good thing there was no one else around...
After the temple, we took some pictures out side... ( those pics will come later, they're on my laptop, and facebook was finicky) And drove back to my apartment.
This is what :D looks like in real life...
We made breakfast. Kristen Alex and I went to albertsons, and Steph and Jillian arrived at my apartment. We made eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and grated cheese. We ate and played castle crashers for a couple hours.
The original plan was to be back and ready to go to SLC at 1. Danny and Chris were supposed to be awake and taking their test while I was at the temple. But.. they didn't wake up till right before I got home. I brought them some food. And waited for them to call me telling me they were done.
They contacted me very abruptly, and instead of kicking everyone out of my apartment, I told them they could all stay and hang out. So I hopped in the car with Chris and Danny, we went to pick up kayla (-__-;) and then made our way to SLC. Traffic was fun, there was a jazz game, and total that day, Chris rescheduled his Apple appointment 3 times. We got up there and made our way into the apple store, where I told my pathetic "fix my iphone, it wasn't my fault" Story, to which they were like... nah... you can pay 200 for it to get fixed.
We attempted to get back out but due to a large amount of traffic, we gave up that endeavor, and went back into the mall.
We ran to forever 21 and shade while we waited for Brady to get up here, and then went to get some food.
Afterwards, Danny needed new pants, so we went to express... I tried on lots of cute clothes.
Danny: " No peeking laura"
Danny tried on pants and shirts and paraded them for us, and kayla and i laughed and giggled. We ran to banana Republic, where I tried on this ridiculously form fitting dress.... Then we... went home. We drove home.
After getting home, I went in, grabbed my laptop, and changed and went back to Danny and Chris's to watch a movie. After everyone left, I fell asleep on chris while danny practiced his hymns for priesthood session the next day. Woke up at 4 am, and went home and slept there.
That was Saturday.
Now, what did I not tell you in this post. Sounds like fun. Didn't it.
So, How about while I we were walking around the mall, It was Danny and Kayla, Chris and Brady, and me. The 3 guys were picking stuff out for Kayla to try on. With the squad, everyone had someone to migrate to, everyone in GENERAL has someone to migrate to. and its not me. Cory, was the one who used to migrate towards me. He was my friend in the midst of everything .Christopher too. But everyone has someone else they'd rather talk to or hang out with. I guess I kind of hoped that this group with be different. They didn't quite notice that I stopped being part of the group... I guess they didn't even care. I guess that's why I bring a camera with me. I'm still interacting while not being so far away from everyone. I have a job... and its to document. Not to bond.
I don't know where I belong. I haven't for a long time. That was shattered 5 months ago. I never feel welcome anywhere, and I'm paranoid that people just tolerate me.
-___-;
The stuff in the back seat of my car.. I would have loved to have been part of that. I just don't interact with people anymore... I'm uncomfortable, untrusting, and paranoid.
ok.
Conversation of the day:
I found out today that you can't cremate someone according to LDS doctrine... so I researched it... and came across this other post.
*Laura looking at a Bible post in LDS doctrine:*
Laura: What does defication mean?
Del Ray: To poo!
Laura: NO it doesn't! The post is called Defication in the Bible....
Del Ray: Yes it does:
Laura: *looks back at post* OHHH! Deification!
ohhhh dear. Anyways.. this is the end of this post. The End.

You can cremate bodies in LDS doctrine. It is very much discouraged though. But it's not like they're going to hell if they get cremated. Thai people cremate bodies.
I'm sorry I forgot my camera! v__V I'll bring it next time. And my driver's license so you can sit in the back and I'll drive.
that's the problem though, even if i sit in the back, that wouldn't have happened.... i don't fit in that well.
Actually, cremation isn't even discouraged much. It has a lot to do with culture and personal preference. Even though this article, http://lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?hideNav=1&locale=0&sourceId=a8cf18e7c379b010VgnVCM1000004d82620a____&vgnextoid=024644f8f206c010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD, from the New Era isn't actually Church doctrine, it has a few points that I believe are extremely important when it comes to recognizing that sometimes burial is not only impossible but improbable and not desirable. "The fundamental elements of the bodies of mankind are never lost or allowed to belong to another soul." (See Documentary History of the Church, vol. 5, p. 339.) I like what the brother that wrote this says at the beginning; he is biased towards burial because he is a Westerner and such is the tradition. To say that we are discouraged from partaking in cremation is to suggest that members who do chose that method of "burial" are in fact doing something wrong, though it may not be fundamental, and I think that is far from the truth.
If not, have the General Authorities come out with a statement regarding it? (I ask this genuinely because I'm interested)
