[You've Got Mail]

I apparently have a secret admirer.  Which has started into what is being called 'an intriguing game.'

At the present, I really have no idea why I'm doing this, but the facts are these: 1) I have just now created this email account for the sole purpose of sending you this and the potential corresponding emails, 2) my identity will most likely remain to you a mystery, but the following exchange should be nonetheless fun and potentially uplifting to you.  

His real reason, was to compliment me.

3) though my identity is secret, you do know me and I am a friend of yours, not just a creepy guy that decided to email you, 4) the real reason I'm doing this: I think you are absolutely gorgeous. 

"You may not even care to respond to this email, possibly thinking it creepy or perhaps you'll be intrigued as to the identity of your current flatterer.  I hope for the latter, it being much more entertaining for the both of us.  In the event that the compliment is appreciated, only more could possibly follow by continuing through the looking glass" 

I have sent several emails back and forth to this person, (who assumes he is using an anonymous email address :p)  in a manner that is similar to that of Pride and Prejudice.

"I will play your game, but you must first answer my questions.  The initials S.H. I assume are not your own initials, That would make the game too easy, as I could look through my friends list and look for someone who starts and ends with S.H.  

You must have picked those initials for an alternate reason, and I was wondering what they meant."

 I like this game, though I like the challenge of figuring out who it is better. (Something he is frowning on) 

"What I HAVE underestimated, however, is your desire to further the compliment and to develop it.  You seem much more interested in unraveling the mystery of who I am, something I could have and should have foreseen.  No matter.  It is my hope that with this greater understanding of my purposes, the game will be course-corrected shortly. "

I'm playing a game of "You've got Mail" in real life.....  

After this point, I must ask for your help.  He signs his letters with different initials every time. 

I should also make not that these initials I am choosing aren't mere random keystrokes.  They do, in fact, all carry significance.

These are what he's posted as:

S. C., Ph.D

T. S., Ph.D

L. S.

A. E., Ph.D

P. P.

I'm assuming they're figures from  a book, or authors of some sort.  I'm clueless as to what these mean.  Any help would be appreciated.
