Where are my legs?!

The title of this actually has meaning. I'm going to tell you why its funny, then tell you what the meaning of it is.

We had a halo night. I grabbed the 2 guys who live nearby...(whom i talk about all the time) and had them play halo. During the game, there were several really really really good quotes.

Danny: "People! YAY!"

Danny: "Why am i flying?! There's no reason.... "
Chris: "By all accounts it doesn't make sense"

Chris: * singing * "Kill the boy"
Danny: * starts singing too * Kill the booyyyyy"

Danny: "I don't know what i'm saying! Its nervous!"

Danny: "Where are my legs?!"

By far, the "where are my legs" comment was the funniest. When you die in halo, your body doesn't get blown apart. "where are my legs" is not a valid statement for this situation.

I asked him about this later. Danny and Chris's bedrooms are right next to each other. One day, Chris started listing off a bunch of things that were wrong. Danny told me he wished that Chris would finish with "where are my legs." It would make a satisfying end to the list of crap that was being displayed. The other day, during a semi mental breakdown that I was having, I wandered over there, and in the midst of crying and hyperventilating, I shouted, "and where the heck are my legs." Which caused me to crack up in giggles. I guess, life really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. If you're in the midst of the situation, life seems horrible. But when you are in a position to be able to step back, and look at things from another perspective, you realize.. things could be much worse, and its not as bad as you think... and if you add our Heavenly Father's love into this, life is practically perfect.

"where are my legs" has become a mantra... kind of. I don't know a better word for it. Every time anything seems depressing, "where are my legs" usually comes in to the conversation somewhere, causing everyone involved to laugh, and the situation to diffuse.

hmmm...

Wednesday night, I went to see Avatar in Imax 3d. It was a group effort. Danny wanted to go see it, but, for some reason, things that need to be planned in advance never happens in the group. So I took charge. Grabbed all the tickets for everyone on Sunday, and voila... we did it. We were late, but we did it, and it was worth it. :)

My ants.. i think they're dead. * pokes ant farm* wake up!...

* WARNING DEPRESSING MOMENT!*

Because of you, I never strayed too far from the sidewalk,
Because of you I learned to stay on the same side so I don't get hurt
Because of you I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me,
Because of you.... I am afraid.

That's really my theme song right now.

I wish I could get out of this mode.

my new motto.. "don't cry cause its over, smile because it happened"

I got to date Cory Grant... * smiles *
however i lost my best friend because of it.

Maybe someday we'll be friends again.

* END OF DEPRESSING MOMENT *

So, I'm in school, 2 computer science classes, and really the only girl in both. There was this cute guy in my 1400 class (yes, i know, i've taken it already, but they're doing c# this year, and my 2 younger siblings are in it. )

Day #1: Ok. So i'm sitting in the back with Thomas and Melissa I nudge Thomas and point at the guy with the white jacket.

Thomas: What about him?
Me: I want to meet him
Thomas: *looks back at other guy, and then turns, rolls his eyes, and turns back to the teacher*

Day #2: I sit kitty corner behind this other guy, across the room where i sat day 1.

Thomas: *gives me weird look, and mouths, why are you sitting there*
Laura: *Grins *
Thomas: * looks at guy in front of me* Ohhhhhhhhhhh..

At this point, he proceeds to do this enormous wink that I'm sure cute guy saw... it was done in the same style of like.. Kronk, from emperor's new groove.

.....

ok.

I cut 6 inches off my hair. its intense.

I also downloaded the app for the Provo Pageant. I'm excited. :)
